Director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Mr. Miodrag Popovic, held a presentation of tourist offer of Belgrade for Turkish market, being one of the most significant for Belgrade when considering growth trends, and presented promotions for winter tourist season in Belgrade. In his speech Mr. Popovic especially noted the tourist offer for the upcoming winter holidays. Furthermore he gave multiple interviews for representatives of media and talked to representatives of Turkish travel agencies, with special focus on opportunities for bringing guests, the third country nationals, on tours they organize in Serbia. Some of the topics discussed with Turkish airlines company were possibilities of opening the direct flight between Belgrade and Ankara and its advantages for, not only needs of tourists from this region of the Republic of Turkey, but also guests from Iran.

Mr. Zoran Markovic, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia addressed the assembly, recalling bilateral relations between the two countries, he concluded that Belgrade and Istanbul present a very important link in those relations.

Following the business meetings, guests made their way to the cocktail for the preview of a movie of Belgrade, by Dusan Stojancevic, and a wonderful performance of Wonder Strings Quartet.

This event was covered by both Turkish press, including World Travel Channel, and reporters from RTS and TV Pink, television stations from Serbia.

Tourists from Turkey are in the first place by number of arrivals to Belgrade and in 2016 this number was up by 30%. In the first 9 months of this year, arrivals from Turkey increased comparing to the same period last year, with tendency to grow.
